Here's a photo of my entry in the Mother's Day challenge. I really love this Terrye French design that I painted on a wooden tissue box. I'm in the process of painting it on a couple more surfaces. Hope you like it! Will post more photos as I finish them up.

More Etsy and a Clean Sweep moment !

Just thought I'd add this link today for my 1st Etsy Treasury. An Etsy Treasury is a selection of a dozen favorite items chosen by the person that starts it. (Does that make sense? LoL!)

Check out these cool items by members of the Old Farmhouse Gathering. I want it all! :)

I'm in the process of helping my hubby with the sorting and packing of all of our antiques and collectibles from the past 30+ years! He's the "hunter-gatherer" when it comes to vintage stuff! It's all about the thrill of the hunt.....and then finding some neat old items! After a while, it becomes a bit too crowded. (Can you tell, I've been watching Peter Walsh on Oprah? LoL!) I wish we had Clean Sweep or one of those other declutter and organize shows to come and do the lifting!

We plan on having a big auction in the late fall. Of course, this all means the push and pull of what stuff to keep, what stuff to pack, etc. But, we will have room to breathe when we're done. And, he is anxious to get out there and "hunt" for more stuff! LoL! All you 'teekers know what I mean! :)

I am picking out paint like I was one of those Trading Spaces guys! We should be able to see the walls after all this. I should've taken a "before" photo, so the "after" photo would be more effective!

I need to go rest up now!

Here's some photos of a few items before they get packed up.

Some green bowls and creamers...

The dish is from the Queen's Coronation in 1953

Started saving vintage cologne bottles years ago
for all our daughters. Here's a few. Some are a little
newer, but neat.

A potpourri of kitchen items: egg separator,
french fry cutter, green glass salt shakers, cookbook, etc.

We have tons of old milk bottles! Fun to pack up! ;]
Lots more where these came from! LoL!

Hope you enjoy these photos. I will post more as we
will be packing for quite a while to come! Whew!!

Adding some blog links

I'll be adding links to some of my favorite blogs today and over the next few days.
Be sure and check them out! Lots of very talented artists ! Just scroll down over on the right side of the page to find 'em. :)

Here's a sampling of great items from the wonderful artists of Old Farmhouse Gathering on Etsy! Check it out!!

And a few ideas for Mothers' Day!!

Garden Photos

Here's an older photo of some pink cosmos and a gorgeous butterfly in our garden.

These are our hydrangeas before I messed them up!
I know they will be great again this summer!

April is here!

April is here! Looking forward to Spring! Lots of rain to set things a bloomin' ! Hoping for a bit drier weather so I can start getting some flowers and seeds ready to plant. It's pretty muddy out there now.

My jasmine is looking very pretty, even with a little blackspot. It survived a neighbor that said it was dead and proceeded to cut it off our fence last year! Yes, our fence! Now it's recovering nicely and growing all over the place!

The hydrangeas are starting to sprout some greenery. I can hardly wait for them to bloom! It's been 2 years! I learned the hard way when NOT to prune hydrangeas! The next season a very late frost killed off the new growth! They should be fine this year. I hope! I have very fond memories of my Grandmother's yard with BIG beautiful hydrangeas all around her home. Hydrangeas are great in dried arrangements, too!

Can you see a pattern here? We have had lots of trials and errors with our landscaping and gardening, but we try to keep going with it! LoL!

I will post a photo or two of our garden when it was in its prime. :)
